Central European Corporate Governance Association (CECGA) is a non-profit non-governmental organisation established by 20 founding members on 27 October 2004.

 

The main objective of the Association is to monitor worldwide trends in the area of corporate governance, to bring information and to cultivate knowledge in this area and to generally support public, professional and political debates on the current corporate governance topics.

 

The aim of the Association is to support the qualification growth of current and future members of the boards and to create a professional background for the acquiring of the up-to-date knowledge in the area of corporate governance.

 

Moreover, the Association endeavours to invite to the discussion academics working in the area of corporate governance and to support interaction among academics, students and other experts in the area of economics, finances, law and the management; and to promote and participate in the research in this area and to spread its results.

 

The Association provides also for the professional needs of its members by informing them about the upcoming European and Slovak instruments which have impact on the corporate governance and by educating them in the area of application of the corporate governance principles in practice via discussion round-tables, seminars, conferences and publications in professional journals.
